How We Got Started
ICI Traveler began in 1998 as Insurance Consultants International with a simple question. At the time, our founder, Craig Robinson, was working as a stockbroker when a client walked into his office and asked about global health insurance. It wasn't something he specialized in, but instead of turning them away, he said, "Let me see what I can find out for you." That one conversation led to a call with IMG, the start of a new partnership, and the beginning of what would become a lifelong business.
From the very beginning, Craig and his wife Linda built the foundation of the business together. What started as helping one client quickly grew into serving expatriates and long-term missionaries around the world. Over time, that expanded into protecting short-term mission teams, and eventually into travel protection for all types of travelers — from families and vacationers to cruisers, tour groups, and international travelers across the globe.
But the business's growth was never driven by chasing sales. It was shaped by a different mindset — one rooted in faith. After his first mission trip, Craig came back with a clear conviction: this business would be built on trust, service, and a simple prayer: "Lord, send us who You want us to serve." That principle continues to guide everything we do today.
As the company has grown, one thing has remained the same: We believe every traveler deserves clear guidance, honest answers, and someone they can reach when it matters most. We are not a call center. We are a team of real people who take the time to understand each situation, clearly explain coverage, and walk alongside our clients before, during, and after their trips.
Today, as we transition into the ICI Traveler brand, that foundation remains unchanged. We are here to help people travel confidently and to be there when they need us most.

Craig Robinson founded Insurance Consultants International in 1998 and serves as Owner and Managing General Agent. With decades of experience in travel insurance, he leads the team at ICI Traveler, helping clients and staff navigate the unexpected with confidence.
